Exam procedure
How to take the QEAC Certification Exam
The QEAC Certification Exam is done online, under web camera supervision.
We recommend you take the exam in a quiet space, free from interruptions and disturbances.
You can take the exam at any time. You do not need to set a test date or time. You do not need to take the exam during business hours. You have a time period of 6 months to undertake the exam.
PIER will review your exam attempt after it is submitted.
If you adhere to the terms and conditions of the exam you may have up to 3 attempts at the EATC exam, with a waiting period of 5-7 days between each new attempt.
There is no minimum IELTS score requirement to sit the exam.
Technical requirements
- A computer with a reliable internet connection.
- A web camera (either built-in to your monitor or a separate attachment, mounted on your monitor).
- Google Chrome, FireFox or Safari (Version 11 and above) web browser.

Once payment is made, PIER will review your account to check that you have met the required criteria below. Please allow 5-7 days between your payment and approval from PIER to sit the exam.
Criteria to sit the exam
You must complete the following:
- Finish at least 60% of the online Education Agent Training Course (EATC), or purchase the corresponding EATC ebook for fast track access.
- This includes both the exercises questions throughout the course and the Self-Assessment questions.
- Upload identification to your PIER account.
Acceptable identification:
a) Must be government issued.

Acceptable formal identification include: drivers licence, national identity document, or passport.
b) All details must be in English.
c) It must contain;
- Your full name
- Date of birth (day/month/year), and a
- Recent photograph
These details must be easily identifiable in the document. Your date of birth must be recorded in the Western calendar.
d) All details must be completely in focus. Personal details must be legible and your photograph must be clear. The file size should be no less than 400 x 400 pixels.
e) Must be in colour.
We will use the photograph on your I.D to verify your identity. It will be compared to the footage of you captured on web camera during the online exam.
Any ID. that does not meet this criteria will be rejected.
- Upload a profile photo to your PIER account. Acceptable profile picture:
a) It must be a photograph of your face.
b) It must be a different photograph from the one you uploaded as part of your identification.
c) The file size should be no less than 400 x 400 pixels.
d) The photograph must be completely in focus.
e) It must be a recent photograph of yourself.
The profile photograph will also be used to verify your identity. Any profile picture that does not meet the above criteria will be rejected.
Once you pass the exam and have been emailed your QEAC certificate, you can replace your profile photograph with another profile picture, such as a company logo. Your profile picture will appear in the PIER network alongside your agency details.

Exam Access
Please allow for 5-7 business days for your exam access request to be processed. You will be notified via email once your exam access has either been approved or denied.
If your exam access is approved, your email will contain a link to proceed to the exam. Approved users, will also be able to access the exam via their EATC account. Log in here.
If you do not receive an email from PIER within 7 business days, please check your email spam and junk folders.
Please do not contact us for a status update on your exam access request unless 7 days have passed since your access request. This will help PIER remain as efficient as possible and to prevent delays for all applicants.
Denied Access
Rejected candidates will receive an email explaining why their access was denied. They will be provided with details on which of the exam access criteria was not met. If your exam access request is rejected, you will need to wait another 5-7 business days for PIER to review your account. To avoid delays, please ensure that you have met the exam access criteria listed above.
Appearing in the PIER Network
To appear in the PIER Network and QEA App, you will need to create an agency, or add yourself to one, via your PIER account. You will only appear once you have passed the QEAC exam and received your certificate via email.
If you are yet to join an agency or establish yourself as a sole-trader, this information is not essential before taking the exam. You can add it anytime it is available, even after you are certified.
Additional Accounts
If you have any other accounts registered, please notify our Customer Support team via https://pierapps.com/support.
If you are unsure if you have additional accounts, please send any possible email addresses to PIER to be cross-checked in our database. Any accounts found will be disabled. This will help avoid any of your extra profiles being certified instead of the correct one.

Access to the QEAC Certification Exam is at the discretion of PIER. We reserve the right to reject access to the exam.
